Eid ul Fitr 2013 Wallpapers

Eid-ul-Fitr is the festival celebrated immediately after Ramadaan ends. A common misconception is that people think the reason that ‘Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated is because the hardship and suffering of fasting has ending for Muslims and normal life can resume. This may be the case for some Muslims who have fasted only on a physical level without appreciating the full spiritual meaning and blessing of Ramadaan. However, the actual reason for celebration is a spiritual one, in that the person who has fasted Ramadaan is joyful that they were given the opportunity to fast and successfully did so in order to attain Allah’s pleasure, rewards, and forgiveness for their sins.

Eid-ul-Fitr, often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting (sawm). Eid is an Arabic word meaning “festivity”, while Fitr means “breaking the fast”. The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. The first day of Eid, therefore, falls on the first day of the month Shawwal.
