Australia – Champion of Cricket World Cup 2015

Australia beat New Zealand to win the World Cup for a fifth time at an ecstatic Melbourne Cricket Ground

“It was a brilliant performance. Australia were the best team in the tournament, fantastically led by Michael Clarke. Today they were just too powerful and strong for New Zealand, who have been great throughout the tournament. They’ve had everything you’d need in a one-day side, with the left-arm pace of Johnson and Starc. They’ve got everything covered.” (Former England captain Michael Vaughan)

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Launching on 19 Sept

At its special media event, Apple announced the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus. Both devices will launch on September 19 in the first wave of countries, with pre-orders starting on September 12.
Apple’s new iPhones are available in Gold, Silver, and Space Gray, and are available in 16, 64, and 128 GB capacities. The iPhone 6 pricing starts at $199, while the iPhone 6 Plus pricing starts at $299.

While both models include the same 64-bit A8 chip and the same general design, there are several differences between the two phones. The iPhone 6 measures in at 6.9mm, while the iPhone 6 Plus is slightly thicker at 7.1mm. Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus also has three major differentiating factors: optical image stabilization for the camera, and a longer battery life, and an iPad-style landscape mode that displays more content on the screen.

Though the iPhone 6 Plus has optical image stabilization, both phones got some major camera improvements in form of sensor upgrades, improved tone mapping, better noise reduction, and new “Focus Pixel” technology, which improves the phone’s ability to select autofocus points. For videos, there’s a new 240fps slo-mo option, along with support for shooting in 1080p at 60fps. The front-facing camera was also upgraded, with an f/2.2 aperture that lets in more light and new burst mode capabilities.

Both phones have an impressive new “Retina HD Display,” with the iPhone 6 featuring a resolution of 1334 x 750 (326 ppi) and the iPhone 6 Plus featuring a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (401 ppi).

Design wise, the phones more closely resemble the iPad and the iPod touch than the iPhone 5s. Both models have soft, rounded corners and a curved glass screen that melds smoothly into the thin metal body of the device. The volume buttons on the left side of the device are now pill-shaped, and the power button is located on the right side of the device for easier one-handed use.

Other new features in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus include WiFi calling support, faster 802.11ac WiFi, and support for Voice over LTE (VoLTE).

iPhone 5s Photos and Specs

As a matter of fact every Apple device exposes continuity of its racial design. Take photos of all the iPhone released and yet and place them side by side, on inspecting you will discover that all has similar design. Apple released two mid-way phones this year namely: iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. iPhone 5C is just like an iPhone 5 with a new outfit. However, the iPhone 5S is something deserving to be called a newer release.

iPhone 5S doesn’t possess any fashionable quality like the iPhone 5C but in spite of that it’s based upon the same premium looking slate design owned by the iPhone 5. Headphone jack has been repositioned to the bottom of the phone. The iPhone 5S comes up in 3 colors namely: silver, gold and space gray. It has a sleek formal design. The thing I like about the iPhone 5S is that it is totally compact but It’s a little disappointing for those users who wanted a phone with a bigger screen as this phone doesn’t has any. It has the same 4 inch screen which iPhone 5 had. Graphics have been improved.

This brand new iPhone has an A7 processor with 64 bit architecture along with a M7 motion coprocessor. The speed has been brilliantly improved but I would mention that still there aren’t any apps available in the Apple Store or built in the iPhone which completely enjoys the tech juice that iPhone 5S’s hardware offers. Likewise it has iOS 7, a complete re-imagination of iOS mobile operating system.  The iOS 7 takes advantage of the new processor, it runs very smoothly and is really delightful to operate.

Camera is the key feature of today’s Smartphones. We expected a 13 MP camera from the iPhone 5S but amazingly Apple hasn’t enhanced the mega pixels of the camera of iPhone 5S.  But instead of improving mega pixels Apple has improved the camera of iPhone 5S.  The mega pixel stays same but the sensor has been made 15% larger, the pixels are physically much bigger (1.5 microns),  even if the quantity is same.

The newly added feature is the Touch ID system in iPhone 5S. You’ll notice that in the iPhone 5S the home button is not the curvy one it’s totally flat. Another thing you’ll notice is that square is missing on home button. That’s because the new iPhone 5S has a fingerprint scanner on its home button. That button is both a capacitive fingerprint scanner and a home button as well.

4th of July – Independence Day (United States) in Pictures

July 4th Independence day is the perfect time to let your patriotism shine. Every July 4 Americans have a day off work and stuff themselves full of food at picnics. There are activities in the afternoon including baseball games, music and more food. Some cities have parades. Then, at dusk, people watch fireworks displays. This is one birthday celebration you don’t want to miss.

History Behind the Holiday

In the beginning of U.S.’s history, 13 colonies were ruled by the King of England, King George III. These colonies were tired of having a king 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean. Two acts of defiance made history. Tea was purposely dumped into the Massachusetts Bay (this event, known as the Boston Tea Party, was a reaction by the people to England raising their taxes) and, in Boston harbor, British soldiers fired into a crowd after being jeered and stoned. The number of people killed was exaggerated (only a few people died), but the event became known as the Massacre.

The Big Vote

Virginia took the first step and voted to set up a group to represent the colonies. The first meeting was in 1774 and a draft of a document that would give them freedom from England was written. This document, called the Declaration of Independence, was considered treason and the 56 men who signed it were in some serious danger of being executed. But, they stood by what they believed in – the right to independence.

The First Fourth of July

Things didn’t happen overnight. It took years for the final draft of the Declaration to be written. At the same time, the American Revolution was taking place. The draft was finally accepted on July 4, 1776. Over the next month, the document was read to the public and people celebrated whenever they heard it. In 1783 the war finally ended and Independence Day was made an official holiday.
